It started with a promise....and a Turtle Cheesecake!!
It all started with a promise to a friend. I was on my way out of town for Christmas, turtle cheesecake in hand—the one he’d been waiting on for far too long. I’d packed it up in a little box and carried it with me into a local pub, ready to finally deliver.
Before I could even set it down, a patron stopped me to ask where I’d bought it. When I told him I’d made it myself, he immediately wanted to buy it. I laughed and said, “Sorry, this one’s spoken for.” But then another guest chimed in, insisting he had to have one too. He pressed money into my hand and said, “When you get back, make me one.”
And just like that, something bigger than a simple cheesecake was born.
